A history older than a century
Congelados Basilio S.A. It's the result of the know-how of three generations and more than one hundred years of experience in the fresh and / or processed fish sector, in a region such as Asturias with a great gastronomic and fishing tradition. Past, present and future go hand in hand in our production process, which combines the use of new technologies with artisan traditions to present a product with the same flavor and quality under the guarantees and controls imposed by the new times.
Grupo Congelados Basilio S.A., with its subsidiaries Logitransfrío (logistics) and Pescados Basilio (fresh product), is based at its facilities in Lugones (Asturias). Since the beggining of our history we have focused our production in this region, contributing to its development, job creation and betting on a "Made in Asturias" product line.
Our entire production process is characterized by a growing commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability, aspects that are the cornerstone of the company and hallmarks of the wide range of Congelados Basilio.

Our modern facilities
Our modern facilities located in Lugones (Asturias) are equipped with the latest safety and hygiene systems at work, as well as modern machinery and systems to guarantee the best treatment and handling of the product.
Congelados Basilio has a modern fleet of vehicles, in constant renewal, for the transport and distribution of its products.
21 vehicles with two-temperature capacity for the Hospitality and Home service. They can load frozen and / or fresh by being able to regulate the temperature.
Within the business group, Logitransfrío has five trailer trucks and two auxiliary trucks for the transport of goods, both frozen and refrigerated.

Fresh fish zones where daily temperature logs and a deep control of the labelling are done, all according to current European regulations.

Taking care of the quality of our product and service, controlled by our Quality department, is a basic pillar in the entire production process of Congelados Basilio.
According to IFS certificates, this policy affects all stages of our process: raw materials, manufacturing and handling process, quality of the finished product and service to the end customer (reliability in delivery in time and form).
In this line, a computerized management system has been incorporated to exhaustively monitor the traceability of the product from its origin to the final weighing and labeling.
This policy also includes the continuous training of our staff in aspects related to handling, hygiene and safety at work.
Hospitality Service (HORECA Channel). We provide service to hospitality professionals with a wide catalog of products and fast supply. All with a great value for money.
Caterbas for direct home sales to individuals is also part of this field. Large distribution, both of processed products (marketed in Fresco for sale in Fishmongers), and of frozen products for sale in free service shelves. Export and wholesale trade.
In recent years, Congelados Basilio has strengthened its international reach with a wide range of products, highlighting its flexibility to make offers adapted to the needs of our clients in terms of logistics and packaging.
Given their extensive experience, they have the ability to serve importers of frozen products for redistribution or large international distribution chains for sale in retail.
